ART: In our weekly art classes, students from PreK through grade 8 embark on a creative journey, discovering various forms of artistic expression. Our dedicated art instructors guide students in exploring different art mediums, techniques, and styles. Through hands-on projects and imaginative activities, students develop their artistic abilities, unleash their creativity, and gain confidence in their artistic endeavors. Art education at Venerini Academy fosters self-expression, critical thinking, and visual literacy, enabling students to communicate and interpret ideas through the language of art. 

MUSIC: Through singing, playing instruments, analyzing, creating, and listening, students develop a solid foundation in music. Music education fosters creativity, self-expression, discipline, concentration, and problem-solving skills. In the early years, such as PreK and Kindergarten, students associate movement activities with basic music vocabulary, share songs, and learn to sing as a group and individually. In grades 1 and 2, students build upon these foundations by learning note and rhythm reading and are introduced to different instruments. Grades 3 and 4 focus on small group activities and explore various music genres and their influences. As students progress to grades 4, 5, and 6, they delve into more complex music reading activities, study, and engage in group and small group ensemble playing, fostering a sense of accomplishment and purpose. 

Middle school students in grades 6 through 8 have the opportunity to join the Junior chapter of the Tri-M Music Honor Society. This esteemed national music honor society allows students to take on leadership roles as officers and members, providing service and showcasing their musical talents within our school community and beyond. Additionally, middle school students are encouraged to explore different instruments, with the possibility of participating in small group and band performances. Many of our students continue their musical journey by studying piano and other instruments, demonstrating their love for music through their involvement in school events and performances throughout the year, including Veterans Day, the Christmas Pageant, Memorial Day, and other musical celebrations.

National Junior Arts Honor Society: Venerini Academy takes pride in recognizing and celebrating students who demonstrate exceptional talent, passion, and commitment to the arts. Our National Junior Arts Honor Society provides a platform for students to showcase their artistic achievements and contribute to the artistic community within our school and beyond. Members of this prestigious honor society engage in service projects, organize events, and promote artistic excellence, embodying the spirit of creativity and leadership.
